A Christmas To Remember!

Every Christmas is one to remember but this year was especially crazy! We got around 22 inches of snow with wind so needless to say we did not make it to Holstein to be with the families. It was our 1st Christmas in Lake Park! The other crazy thing was Kendal got sick in the middle of the night on Christmas eve. She threw up in her bed then she got sick in our bed then in the AM we shared a toilet together throwing up at the same time. I never thought I would be sick sharing a toilet with my 2 and half year old daughter being sick. It hit me hard I was couch bound all day with a tummy ache and body aches. Chad was wonderful he took care of everyone! This is the girls sucking on their ring pop candy from their stockings! This is Kendal in their preset from Santa! Santa made it though the blizzard! This is the 3 foot drift at our front door! Doesn't look like we will be going anywhere soon! Kendal got a Barbie and Barbie movie, Cora got a toy camera and of course both of them got the car. Cora was more interested in getting breakfast then getting her presents in the morning. This was the first time Kendal saw the car this AM The girls got matching PJ's and the gone fishin game they had some fun with. The girls got matching PJ's and the gone fishin game they had fun with. Kendal had a Barbie christmas, Barbie car, a Barbie movie, Barbie car and Barbie dress up clothes ooh la la baby:) Cora discovered how to get the lid off of markers..TROUBLE. she just giggles and sticks them in her mouth. She is one busy girl she also discovered how to stick socks done the vent of the dryer! Both not good habits. This was Cora's 2nd christmas but last year she was too little to enjoy so this year she enjoyed all of the excitment. Her sister usually took over the unwrapping portion:) Enjoy the video of the car. Merry Christmas!

Princess and the Frog

We took Kendal to her very 1st movie this weekend, The Princess and the Frog. We brought cousins Emma and Dylan while Aunt Kimmie wathced Cora. Kendal did awesome the only little set back we had was she had a little accident and went potty in her tights a little so we had to go to JC Pennys after the movie to get new tights. She was soo cute we got into the bathroom and she was soo sad and said "but I don't want to miss the movie" The movie was super cute! Kendal is a movie junkie so she had no problems sitting through it. Thanks Addison n Juli for the dress:) The dress is one of Addison's christmas dresses we borrowed and Kendal wanted to wear it to the movie. Cora just looked too cute I had to take a pic:) The girls are feeling much better now! Thank goodness. They were playing together this am and I went in to check on them b/c they were quiet and this is what I found. Can you say braces are in our future:)

In the midst of the sickness we got the tree up in the basement and finished some things up around the house. This is a pic of our tree upstairs. Oh for all of you that wanted the Elf on the shelf it is at the halmark store:) Tree in the basement & Cora all wrapped up in the lights:) Kendal in her Dad's hunting boots, It was opening deer season this weekend. Happy Holidays!

We started our first holiday tradition at the Niemeier's. We got the book Elf on the shelf book from Santa. His name is Buddy and he watches over us every day and at night he flies back to Santa to tell him if we have been naughty or nice and what we want for Christmas. Every morning we have to look for Buddy because he is somewhere new:) but we can't touch him because then he loses his magical touch. It has been fun the past few mornings to look for Buddy! This was our only family picture of our weekend in Sioux City with the Cronin family. We had a great weekend, great weather and a ton of fun! Kendal has been doing the choke hold a lot lately not sure why but we do know Cora doesn't like it. The girls are growing soo fast! Kendal is completely independent and Cora wants to be:) She is our climber and has no fear! she has had a few tumbles this week, down the stairs, off the bed but she doesn't cry and goes back for more!

Baby Bobcats

We got to play with baby bobcats today! There is a family south of town that takes in animals for the DNR and they found these bobcats when they were newborns without a mom so they have been taking care of them for the past 7 months old. They are keeping them through the winter then letting them go. They were the softest cutest animals ever! Cora was giving Ruger some love today after church, yes we are outside in November without coats on in Iowa!! Our little ham bones, loving the camera! On Friday I had two more kids for the day, Rylee (pushing Cora) who is Kendal's age soon to be 3 this month and her 9 week old brother, yes 4 under 3..It went really good the only major isssue was Kendal threw up mid morning, Thank goodness Cora and baby Cole were sleeping. Not sure what the deal was she had no fever and kept on playing like nothing happened. Nobody else sick in the house so we will keep our fingers crossed.
