Daddy's Day

We were blessed with a wonderful Father's Day weekend. The weather was great and the girls are healthy. Cora helped her dad mow the lawn today, she stayed on for almost the entire yard:)
I see a future in making some money mowing lawns, how can you turn down that smile:)
Kendal loving her daddy! She gave daddy a special card, new shorts and a hawain shirt. she was soo proud and excitd about it. Kendal spent the entire last week at bible school with Addison and Juli, so this AM we went to church to watch her sing her songs..well we watched her stand at the front of the church with a blank look on her face like are you kidding me. You get the girls outside the church and you can't get them to stops singing: This is Kendal eating a chocolate covered strawberry at lunch.

The home imrovement still goes on. We replaced the front window over the weekend. The top window got hit with hail so we had to replace them. As you can see the girls love having a jungle gym at the front door:) Note the monkey that about flips over alreay:)

Camping and summer fun!

We went camping over the weekend at Twin Lakes near Rockewell City. We went with Chad's Secretary Joy and her Family and Jon and his family ( a lawyer who rents space from Chad) We had a blast even though the weather got a little cruddy Sat. afternoon. We enjoyed lots of good food and a lot of laughs. Kendal loved camping, she got to stay up late and eat whatever she wanted:)Cora's favorite part was eating:) She loved stuffing marhmellows in her mouth. She spent most of her time running to the playground that was close by.This was the easiest way to get her to nap bc she new there was soo much going on so she would not give in inside the cabin.Daddy let the girls paint his fingernails. oooh laaa laa Daddy. Cora thought she was pretty cool. only camping would I giver her polish~

I can explain...

I know, I know it has been awhile since I have done anything with the blog but we have been crazy busy. First of all Kendal got a new bunk bed in her room a few weeks ago! She got it from her cousing Dylan who didn't want it anymore, so after a few cans of spray paint we got it ready for her:) The girls are loving it, Mom and Dad are wondering what we got ourselves into b/c Cora has no fear when she is up there!
The next excuse I have is that we, yes that would mean Chad and I, are painting the house this summer. We have to replace our front window b/c it got hit wiht hail so we are adding brick to the front and decided we need a new color. So I shall keep you updated on the process. We don't get to far when we do it for a few hours with the girls around.  Tonight Cora came running to me with both hands covered in gray paint:)
My Mom will be turning 65 in a couple of weeks so we suprised her with Family pics last weekend. Christina came to my parents backyard to snap a few pics in the heat. All the little people did wonderful! My mom had surgery on Monday, so we have been praying for her. She had a hernia repaired in her belly. She is doing good, now we just need to get her ankle better so she can keep up with my girls:)
Last night we Valerie, Juli and the girls took a road trip to participate in Cortney's 5K run for Breast Cancer in Holstein. I have not been the best at working out lately so this was a good starter for me to get going this summer. My coworker wants me to do a triathalon the end of June so I have a long road in a short amount of time! We had a great time and it was great to see everyone from our Class of 1997!

Every Day is Mother's Day

We had a great Mother's Day weekend.  We spent Mother's Day in Holstein and got to be with both of our moms:) Saturday Kendal got to go to Addison's 4th Birthday Party at the YMCA. She had a blast, her favorite part was dancing. She does have some interesting moves...not really sure where she get them but she can really shake her hips:) Cora is starting to say some words and a little less grunting and screaming:) I have been blessed with two very precious little girls that I can not imagine my life without! There are days where I ask God to grant me patience to deal with my blessings:) I am soo thankful for my blessings!

Good Times

We had a great weekend at home this past weekend. It started out with our friend Rylee coming over to play Friday. We went to the beach:) We went and got to snuggle our cousin Chloe:) She is changing soo much.
Cora enjoying some cake that we made for the Holsts:)
New sunglasses for the girls. Cora got the lips into the picture!
We were blessed with another great spring day today. The girls and I spent most of the night at the park.
Cora has no fear going down the slide head first, Kendal on the other hand would not even try it. Cora even took a big digger on her face and still went back for more. She is one tough cookie!!
View from the Park. A perfect end to a perfect night witht the girls!

Dancing Queens

Ok I have been a really bad blogger lately but we have been soo blessed with healthy girls, great weather and alot of activities.  As you can see if the first few photos Kendal has a wide variety of fancy outfits.  She is all about wearing dance outfits or swimming suits and pretending she is puting on a show or in dance class. This little girl never stops dancing our singing when she is at home!  Cora is growing like a weed, she has gotten really tall and even more crazy:) She loves to swing and follow her sister around ( I think so she can bug her becuase she is getting really good at it:) We have been enjoying bike rides, golfing, parks and we even got to go to the Como Zoo in St. Paul a few weeks ago while Dad had Cont. ed in the cities:)This little red number was actually mine when I was her age! Cora loves to talk on the phone. Her favorite words right now are Hi and baby. The other day she was crying and grunting and Kendal says "Cora you really need to start talking" There are many times I agree, this is such a hard age for them to communicate. The bike carrier is getting a little tight for both of the girls so we may have to come up with another option but this was priceless to see Cora snoozing on her big sis.  Then of course 10 minutes later Kendal was crying b/c Cora was pulling her hair.
The girls just chilling while we grill some supper. I hope everyone is having a happy and healthy spring!
