Round 1 for Christmas

Our Christams officially started on Friday, We attended the nutcracker over in Spirit Lake at the Sammi Center. We went with our good friends Brooklyn and her mommy Trish to the Nutcracker play on Friday night. We got to see Juli and Addison and Aunt Kimmie and Emma also! The play was really good and had a lot of fun. First time for both mommy and Kendal to see the play. First time for both of us also to see men in spandex like that.....very interesting:)

 On Saturday we road tripped to Holstein for one of many family christmas get togethers! We celebrated the large Clausen family at the Country Club. Santa came and visited! There were many good boys and girls that got presents! We had a great time gathering with family, a well needed get together:) The only bummer was that Kendal got a fever and did not feel so good. Not sure what is going on with her. no cold or flu but a rash on face??? so we shall see. Tis the Season for Viral infection falalalala la la lala!

 So all Cora wanted for Christmas is Do Do aka Dora! and Kendal wanted Roller skates and Jump rope, They also wanted som sing a majigs that we have seen on the internet:)

Today we got to watch Maura play the piano at the nursing home!

It is Starting to look a lot like Christmas

We got our 15 foot christmas tree up last weekend and most of the decorations up. I was on call Thanksgiving day so we worked most of the day decorating. Then over the weekend we went to the move Tangled. It was awesome!! a must see, even Daddy liked it!

 So last year we started the tradition of the elf on the shelf. Every year after Thanksgiving Santa brings a book and an elf to our house. We read the story give our elf a name, this year it is Hank:) so every day he watche over us and every night he goes back to Santa and tells him if the girl were naughty or nice. So this year when we get done reading the story, Kendal gets big tears running down her cheeks. She says " I don't want the elf, he is not real and you need to give him back to Santa because he scares me." Daddy and I look at each other not knowing what to say, as Cora is pulling on his legs and making him dance:) So we said that he is nice and he is Santas helper. He is still here but she is still not so sure about him.

 Today at the School the girls could bring a list of names they need to shop for and shop with someone and then wrap them up. I could not go with them I just gave them money. They were in the Library shopping for an hour, gifts ranged from $.50 to $3.00. so they should be interesting.  Then afterwards they got to sit on Santa's lap, this is as close as they got, no tears were shed. Cora was a little nervous biting her nails:)

Let it Snow

Well it official, winter is here! We got snow yesterday. Kendal loved it and Cora had a hard time waling in it so she was not a fan. It was perfect snowman wet snow so we made a girl snowwomen:)

Early Christmas:)

The girls came across a chrismas present I had gotten from my friend Kristen. The little stinkers, it is my fault I didn't have them hid very well. I learned my lesson. They absolutely love them!!

Happy Halloween

We went out as a family trick or treating tonight:) This was all Kendal's idea.

 Friday we went to Holstein for opening pheasant hunting season so we did a little trick or treating with the Grandma's and Grandpas in different costumes.

This is Madeline, Kendal's friend from preschool. They had their party Thursday.

Photo Shoot Weekend

We had a really relaxing weekend, no plans just whatever we wanted to do. So it started out with a visit to Sioux Falls to meet Isabella! She is perfect!! she is sooo pretty! It was good to see the Schweitberger girls and all of the kids:) Cora made me a little nervous holding the swing so the pose did not last long:)

 The weather was absolutely perfect today soI took the oppurtunity to take the girls out for som photos. They looked to darn cute not to:) The dress Cora has on is one from the Whitmers for her B-day. It is a hit, she didn't want to take it off Meghann, I have a feeling we will get your money's worth on it:) The first few pics our out at the golf course then we went to the park.

We went for a walk on our new bike trail in town! This project has been my baby for the past 3 years so this was exciting!

This is Cora saying CHEESE:) She got her stiches out on Friday so now she just has Sterri-strips on her 2 year old battle wound:)

Kendal's 1st night of Dance

Tonight was Kendal's First night of Dance! she has been waiting for this for months, in fact is was the only way we got her excited for preschool. She got a new outfit and some tap shoes.

Kendal did great! She did get a little sleepy at the end, it was from 7-8pm tonight and she did not nap today so needless to say she began o expire. on the way home a few tears were shed b/c of random things. Then when it was time for bed she said she was done with dance and wanted to quit...so we shall see what tomorrow brings:)
